This class is designed for those who have had Reiki Level I (not necessarily animal specific). During this class participants will learn the second level Reiki practices for humans and animals, will be attuned to the second level, will learn to approach and work with animals in person and from a distance, and will leave with a deeper understanding of their journey as a Reiki Practitioner.

We all want our companion animals to live forever, but unfortunately their lifespan is shorter than ours. Through understanding how we become ill and how we heal, we can help them to keep the same level of activity, playfulness and health until shortly before they die. In her 31 years of holistic practice, Dr. Chambreau has found the keys to maintaining good health. She will share her 7 steps to better health for your animal companion, including holistic modalities you can do yourself. Christina Chambreau, DVM, is an internationally known homeopathic veterinarian, author and speaker. Her book, Healthy Animal’s Journal was published in 2003, the Healthy Dog Journal in 2010. She is associate editor for the Integrative Veterinary Care Journal. She graduated from the University of Georgia Veterinary College in 1980, began using homeopathy in her veterinary practice in 1983, and has used primarily homeopathy since 1988. A dynamic teacher, Dr. Chambreau is a founder of the Academy of Veterinary Homeopathy and lectures at conventions, schools, clubs and to anyone who is concerned about improving the health of animals. She also teaches her own 1 and 2 day courses, and teaches the 2 week Summer School Classes for Animal Homeopathy (in May in Vancouver, BC).

This class is designed for Reiki practitioners who have been attuned to level II or higher. During this class participants will learn Reiki techniques for working with animals, learn to approach and work with animals in person and from a distance, and will leave with a deeper understanding of their journey as a Reiki Practitioner. Participants will have hands on experience with animals, including horses. Join us for an afternoon to experience how animals can be your teachers and guides in growing your Reiki practice.

About Kathleen

Kathleen Lester, M.S. is an Animal Reiki Practitioner & Teacher living in Baltimore, MD. Kathleen has studied with Kathleen Prasad of the Animal Reiki Source, Frans Steine of the International House of Reiki, and Tanja Anderson, RMT. She founded the Animal Reiki Alliance in 2010 to bring together individuals who are complementary healing practitioners to work towards bringing professionalism and standards to our work. Kathleen's vision is that Reiki and other complementary healing modalities will become a standard part of everyone's, human and animal, healing team. For now, her primary focus is with animals and building integrity among these healing practices and veterinary care.

In this class you will learn about the history of Reiki, receive your first attunement and learn some basic principles for working with animals.
