About Animal Reiki Training

    Animal Reiki Level I Training

This class is intended for anyone who is interested in learning Reiki for animals. In this class you will learn about the history of Reiki, receive your first attunement and learn some basic principles for working with animals. If you have ever wondered if you can learn Reiki, this workshop is for you!

     Animal Reiki Level II Training 

This class is designed for those who have had Reiki Level I (not necessarily animal specific). During this class participants will learn the second level Reiki practices for humans and animals, will be attuned to the second level, will learn to approach and work with animals in person and from a distance, and will leave with a deeper understanding of their journey as a Reiki Practitioner.

     Animal Reiki Level III Training

This class is designed for those who have had Animal Reiki Level II or Reiki Level II and additional animal training (accepted on a case by case basis). During this class participants will learn the third level Reiki practices for humans and animals, will be attuned to the third level, will learn to advanced techniques and practices in their work with animals. Individuals will also learn more about starting a Reiki practice and their journey as a Reiki Practitioner.

About Animal Reiki Certification

Certified Animal Reiki Practitioner (CARP) Training

Animal Reiki Certification Training offers the student a hands-on practicum and mentoring with a Certified Animal Reiki Practitioner (CARP).  The Certified Animal Reiki Practitioner Training prepares the student to create their own Animal Reiki Practice, providing them a credential that demonstrates that their skills and abilities were supervised and approved by the Animal Reiki Alliance. The credential of Certified Animal Reiki Practitioner (CARP) is awarded to those who successfully complete the certification process in each level.

     Animal Reiki Level II Certification 

Practicum: Each student seeking the Animal Reiki Certification will be assigned a mentor. For Level II, each student must work with at least 5 different animals and complete a total of 10 sessions (at least 2 animals must have 3 or more sessions, and of the 10 sessions a minimum of 2 must be distance sessions). For each animal the student must complete documentation for each animal: Client Intake From, Client Consent Form, Client Session Form (a Client Session Form for each session must be completed). Half way through (3 months) their practicum, the student is required to submit their documentation to their mentor for comments and feedback. Additionally, their mentor will be available for consultation throughout the practicum. Prior to applying for Level III, the student must submit their practicum to their mentor for review and approval. Upon completion, a Level II Certification will be issued.

      Animal Reiki Level III Certification

Practicum: Each student seeking the Animal Reiki Certification will be assigned a mentor. For Level III, each student must work with at least 10 different animals and complete a total of 20 sessions (at least 3 animals must have 2 or more sessions, 2 animals must have 4 or more sessions and of the 20 sessions, a minimum of 3 must be distance sessions). For each animal the student must complete documentation for each animal: Client Intake From, Client Consent Form, Client Session Form (a Client Session Form for each session must be completed). Half way through (6 months) their practicum, the student is required to submit their documentation to their mentor for comments and feedback. Additionally, their mentor will be available for consultation throughout the practicum. Prior to submitting the final application for Certification, the student must submit their practicum to their mentor for review and approval. Upon completion, a Level III Certification will be issued. Students have 1 year to complete the practicum after Level III training.

Certification is offered through the Animal Reiki Alliance in two ways: 1) completion of the Animal Reiki Certification Application; or 2) registering through the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC), which also offers CEUs for both the Level II and Level III practicum.
